Lunacy – Age of Truth
Pennsylvania’s dark shadow figure, Lunacy, has been releasing music in small batches since 2016. After 4 EP’s and a compilation LP, the time for a debut album has come, the “Age Of Truth” Is upon Us.
With such a broad span of music in such a short amount of time, Lunacy has been working on crafting a shound that people can identify with – equal parts lush noise and undertones of melody. Blurring the lines in between genres, exploringthe realms of noise music with reminiscent shoegaze feel to it.
The creative process in itself breaks from modern standards. Pitch-bent drum machines form the 80’s to now, various analog and digital synthesizers along with an array of various guitar tunings were recorded onto 4-tracks cassettes; each song onto an individutal tape witch are also used in live performances. The album was recorded in The Dustbin in rural Pennsylvania and was mixed by Connor Clasen (IVVLF) and mastered by Oliver Ackerman (A Place To Bury Strangers).
